HAIR TREATMENTS
Hydration hair treatments are those which are applied in the hair with the purpose of bringing back its brillance, health and good appearance.
HYDRATION, NUTRITION AND RECONSTRUCTION: WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?
In the world of capilar cosmetics we constantly hear terms such as “hair hydration”, “capilar nutrition” and “thread reparation”. We could think that these three terms means the same thing just in scrambled words, but it happens that these words are not used just precisely as flashy terms: according to the hair structure and components, the terms “hydration”, “nurture” and “reconstruct” have different meanings. Here we explain which they are and how to identify them.
Hydration:
As the words describes, capilar hydration seeks to replenish water in the hair. It’s the softest and external (superficial) treatment we can offer you and it can be done in lightly dull and dry. The components of a hair hydration product are the D-Panthenol, glycerin, vitamins, sugar derivates such as saccharose and plant extracts, among them, the aloe vera. The hydration’s end result is a soft, lighten and easy to comb hair.
Nutrition:
A capilar nutrition seeks to replenish hair fatty nutrients or lipids.
The porosity, the volume excess and the frizz are present in a hair lacking nutrition. The oils are the main components: the Argan oil, coconut oil, olive oil, wheat derivares and the butters.
A properly managed nutrition capilar treatment gives a shinny hair, with weight and flexibility. It’s important to clarify that we should not excede in the use of these products to avoid a heavy/greasy look in our hair.
Reconstruction:
The reconstruction it’s the deepest treatment we apply to the hair. A reconstruction looks to restructure the capilar threads from the inside to obtain strength. This is achieve thru the proteins and/or amino acids that are found in its products. That’s why when we speak about keratin, collagen, creatinine or cisteine we are talking about proper components of reconstructive treatments.
The reconstructive treatments should be planned properly and preferably by people who know about the subject. The excess of proteins in the hair could have a reverse effect making it rigid and brittle. The end result of an optimal hair reconstruction is an elastic and strong hair; a hair that wet can be lightly stretched and regroup to it’s normal state without breaking it.

Hair Treatment FAQs
How long does it take for hair treatment to work? The treatment itself can take less than an hour, but you may need to wait a few months before you start seeing results from your hair restoration treatment. You may also need to get multiple treatments and wait up to a year before you can see the full benefits.
What treatments does my hair need? Consider a strengthening treatment when you notice damage like breakage, split ends, or excessive dryness. Strengthening treatments can minimize damage and maintain hair health if you frequently color, bleach, or chemically treat your hair. For best results, schedule strengthening treatments every 6-8 weeks
How often should I use hair treatment? Those with very dry and damaged hair could benefit from using a hydrating hair mask two or three times a week, while those with greasy hair may want to stick to the recommended once a week. If you've got very straight hair, then you should also avoid using a hair mask more than twice a week
How long should a hair treatment last? Depending upon your hair type and the maintenance and hair care products that you use following your treatment, the results can last from 6 weeks to 5 months.
How do you know if you need hair treatment? This simple hair strand test can be helpful in determining the hair's current condition and needs. Take an inch of your hair and stretch it, if it doesn't stretch or breaks, feels dry and rough, it is brittle/damaged and needs moisture treatment.
What happens if you leave hair treatment on too long? Also, some masks have a high level of protein in them, and over-protein use will lead to breakage. You don't have to be sleeping to leave a hair mask on for too long. Applying a mask and leaving it on while you go about your day can lead to the same breakage
Is too much treatment bad for hair? Products like leave-in conditioners and deep conditioning treatments coat your strands with keratin to make them stronger. It's only when keratin builds up that it can weaken your hair shaft and result in split ends and hair that's harder to style.
What should I do after hair treatment? DON'T wash or wet hair for 8 hours (recommended to wait 24 hours) DON'T tie hair into a pony tail as this may leave a lasting impression. DON'T wear hair clips, hair bands or bobby pins as these may leave a lasting impression. DON''T place hair behind ears for long periods of time.
